Meet the Owner

Mike Schaul, Co-Owner

Mike opened the Dubuque, IA, Express Employment Professionals office in 2007. His vision is to help clients in the Dubuque area find hardworking individuals and to help local job seekers find jobs with successful companies.

Mike attended both the University of Dubuque and Northeast Iowa Community College where he obtained his associate's degree in marketing management. Before joining Express, he worked for the Telegraph Herald for 15 years. Mike also owned the Westend Car Wash for 12 years.

An active member in the Dubuque community, Mike serves as a Pop Warner youth football coach, a basketball coach for the Dubuque Boys Club, and has been coaching the Dubuque Brewers Independent League for the past 9 years.

Mike and his wife, Tracy, have been married for 17 years and together have five children (two boys and three girls) and two Golden Retrievers.

Matt Timmerman, Co-Owner

Matt graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College where he obtained his associate's degree in marketing management. Prior to owning Express, Matt worked in the staffing industry for five years. Matt's specialty is screening for the best candidates. From there, qualified candidates are matched with positions ranging from entry-level to skilled professions.

Matt and his wife, Michelle, reside in Dubuque.
